Samsung may launch the Galaxy S23 series as early as 2023, experts say that this flagship line will have the same design as the Galaxy S22 series. Now, the alleged screen sizes and specifications of the Galaxy S23 trio have leaked.
SamMobile page cited information from SlashLeaks, saying that the Galaxy S23 will have a 6.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and dimensions of 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm. For comparison, the Galaxy S22 has dimensions of 146 x 70.6 x 7.6 mm and is equipped with a 6.1-inch screen (1,080 x 2,340 pixels).
Summary of Samsung Galaxy S23Series leaks: rumors about huge battery and increased resolution camera
The GalaxyClub site in the Netherlands has updated the exact battery specs of the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be much change in terms of the wide-angle camera.
Galaxy S23+ has a huge battery capacity?
As previously reported, the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra have achieved 3C certification with a test charger of 25W. Recently, the information about the battery of this super product has become more clear as some leaks began to reveal more.
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S23+ has the modal number SM-S916 and the corresponding pin code EB-BS916ABY. The exact rated capacity is 4565 mAh, equivalent to 4700 mAh, an increase of 200mAh compared to the predecessor Galaxy S22 +. It seems that Samsung has ordered batteries from 2 manufacturers: Amperex (ATL) in China and Samsung SDI in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 Ultra series has model number EB-BS918ABY and a capacity of 5000mAh, which is equivalent to the battery of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and is also manufactured by Amperex and Samsung SDI.
Wide-angle camera can be up to 12MB
Many sources previously said that the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 + will improve the front camera to 12MP and the telephoto camera with 10MP resolution, 3x optical zoom. As of now, the information shows that the wide-angle camera has not changed much compared to the Galaxy S22 series - at least in terms of resolution.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ both have 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle cameras, and perhaps the S23 Ultra series will too.
Super product is expected to be released in early 2023
The launch event of the Galaxy S23 is still a few months away so plans are still subject to change, but the technical details will more or less be upgraded. The Korean giant's new super product is expected to officially launch sometime between the end of January and the end of February 2023.
Considering the current economic situation and the euro exchange rate, it is likely that the Galaxy S23 series will be more expensive than the S22 series. No one can guarantee how much more expensive this smartphone will be, it depends on many factors.
Galaxy S23's telephoto camera has a 10-megapixel sensor
Leaks about the camera cluster on the Galaxy S23 are being revealed little by little. It seems that the Korean company does not intend to improve all the cameras compared to its predecessor Galaxy S22.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ may launch a telephoto camera with a 10-megapixel sensor next year. But currently the S22 and S22+ series also have a telephoto camera with similar parameters.
While there are many assumptions that the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will once again have lenses with 3x optical zoom, this cannot be confirmed at this time. Currently, the leaks that appear have not brought deeper information.
Galaxy S23's camera will bring better quality selfies
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 in 2019, the smartphone had a 10-megapixel front-facing camera. That's an improvement over the Galaxy S9 with its 8MP sensor, and it's also the latest resolution upgrade to date. Until 2022, Galaxy S22 and S22+ still have 10MP front camera. Will there be a spectacular resolution upgrade in 2023?
Initial information suggests that Samsung is considering upgrading the Galaxy S23 and S23+ front cameras with 12-megapixel sensors. If so, this will be the first resolution upgrade since 2019 (except for the Ultra series).
There is currently no information to show whether the front camera of the Galaxy S23 will be under the screen like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Fold4? We don't know if features like optical image stabilization (OIS) are in Samsung's plans. This rumor was spread from the Galaxy S21 series, but has not materialized until now.
What is the Diamond Project looking forward to?
In the coming months, more information is sure to emerge about the devices that Samsung is developing behind closed doors with the name Project Diamond. Recently, it has been confirmed that the Korean company will continue to work productively next year on developing the high-end 'Exynos 2300' processor, which may appear on some Galaxy S23 series.
Additionally, Samsung has a new 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor in its rollout plan. Whether it will be added in the Galaxy S23 Ultra next year is still a matter of speculation. All leaks are for reference only, hopefully there will be more specific information in the coming months.
